Lamp Wicks
Wicks are thin cloth strips or bands that are designed to slowly draw fuel to the flame on an oil lamp. Because they are made from corded, woven fibers, wicks facilitate the upward flow of oil by way of capillary action. This process ensures both the steady consumption of fuel and the continuous burning of the lamp’s light.
To supply the needs of those who have painstakingly restored antique lamps, we offer both round center draft wicks that measure 2-1/2” and 7-1/2” as well as flat wicks that come in dimensions of 1/2” x 8”, 5/8” x 8”, and 1” x 8”. Each is corded to prevent fraying and casual wear and tear.
