Not to be confused with the ‘slip rings’ that allow for the transfer of electrical power in motors, lamp slip rings are simple rings that slide over lamp parts such as a tube, rod, or pipe and can be locked in place by the tightening of a screw. Conversely, a stationary or mounted slip ring can be loosened in such a way that allows for the exposed length of any tube, pipe, or rod that runs through it to be adjusted and then locked in place with a further tightening of the screw.

We currently carry 1”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 5/8”, and 7/8” slip rings. Our 7/8” slip ring is also suitable for 1/2” iron conduit.
